Copper Interiors – Making it Work

Copper interiors are here to stay, and with new products being launched all the time it’s worth updating a few accessories to bring a copper glow into your home. Go whichever way you want with it from shiny, smooth copper to give a sleek feel or warm, beaten copper to add a soft glow of colour. Copper interiors is an exciting new trend and can be incorporated into any colour scheme but is really on trend combined with soft greys and moody blues.
Adding copper accents immediately gives your interior décor an exciting new vibe and it’s a great way of softening the industrial look and giving it some glamour. Think about adding different textures for contrast, and to excite the eye, such as marble, brick and chalky paints. Copper pendant lights look fab against a backdrop of rough brick walls (or fake it with this wallpaper from beut) and effective against moody blue for a splash of warmth. Hicks Blue from Little Greene is a lovely rich blue that perfectly complements copper accents. Copper plant pots are another easy way to incorporate copper into your scheme.

Loved this thank you! I have painted my cabinets grey, have a brick exposed wall, copper clock, copper cabinet handles, and copper pendant lights which I sprayed. The painted walls are white. I love it x

I love what you have done here. Can I just confirm that the colour in the top picture is Hicks Blue for the Little Green Company? It is just I have looked at it in store and it looks really different. Your help would be appreciated, x
Hi Clare, thanks for your comment. Glad you enjoyed the post! Yes, it is Hicks Blue, however the colour looks different in our photos, to how it looks in the flesh, because we use lighting equipment for the photography and images are brightened/edited, so that the products (in this case, the Copper Coasters) look the right colour, which can change the colour of the paint too. The best thing to do would be to buy a sample pot and test it in your room; the lighting varies in one room greatly, even just at different times of the day. So do have a look at it with sunlight in the morning, versus solely artificial light in the evening, to check you like the colour at all times.
Computer monitors do also change the colours slightly, so it’s always best to check colours on your wall. I hope that helps 🙂

I’m looking to give my kitchen walls an update and for the first time ever I am stuck. My kitchen is cream high gloss, I am replacing the handles from chrome to matt copper. My worktop is wood and I have just bought a black and cooper toaster and kettle. Advise would be greatly appreciated.
